"NEW AND EXCITING FOR THE DMP"

2010 Engineering Explorer Program Kicks Off

Registration and the first session of the 2010 Engineering Explorer Program begins at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13th at the offices of PBS&J, 4601 DTC Boulevard, Suite 700, Denver, CO 80237. The first program will provide an introduction to Structural Engineering with additional information on Architecture. The session will also include a hands on computerized bridge design exercise allowing you to design and test a bridge.

Registration will take place between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. Please bring your one time $10 registration. Subsequent meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Attached is the program schedule for the entire 6-week program. We will review the list during the January 13th meeting and answer any questions regarding meeting locations and subject matter.

Because of limited meeting space parents who may be transporting their daughters/sons are encouraged to drop them off and return at 8:30 p.m. to pick up their sons/daughters. If you need to stay, we will try to provide a place to stay, however it maybe in another room.

We have 32 youth who have been accepted for this session and a waiting list of almost 20 additional youth who would like to attend. If for any reason you will not be able to attend the program, PLEASE let me know by return e-mail so that we can admit a replacement youth from the waiting list. Also, if you plan to attend but will not be able to make the first meeting, you MUST let me know by return e-mail so that we know to retain a spot for you. If you do not notify me that you plan to attend subsequent programs and do not attend the first program, we will remove your name from the list and admit another youth from the waiting list.

Please contact George Rasmussen if you have any immediate questions regarding the 2010 Engineering Exploring Program.
